 Mr. Martin Copeland,
Senior Vice President- Aviation InterVISTAS Consulting Martin has over 35 years of experience in the aviation industry working directly for both airlines and airports as well as providing consutling services for each sector of this industry. He is an economist and business school graduate academically and has used this backgound with airlines to develop airfrare strategies, airline schedule networks, fleet planning, code-sharing alliance agreements, marketing, airline feed service management, and product over- sight. His airline career was with two international airlines where, as part of his commerical focus, he developed a worldwide alliance strategy, presented it to the airline Board who approved it, met with targetted potential airline partners, negotiated the details of code-sharing agreements with such airlines as Lufthansa, Air France, SAS and United Airlines and manged the partnership. Martin, currently leads a team of analysts who are continually assessing new airline routes utilizing a market share and profitability model known as Planet. This route anlayis determines how well a new flight might do and how it will impact results of existing operators. This information is packaged in business cases including strategic in considerations and is presented to airlines. The function involves ongoing meetings with airlines in North America and Europe to discuss analysis results, marketing and financial support. In addition, he has lead a team in researching the stimulation affect of non-stop air service and low fares, reviewed airline business plans and developed strategic plans for airlines.
