 Mr. Terry Horn,
Head of Aircraft Services - Americas Sita Terry Horn has over 24 years experience in global airline operations. Prior to joining SITA, Terry was in senior management of flight operations at Delta Airlines where he held various management positions in technical and flight operations divisions. During increased economic pressure of the airline industry downturn in early 2001, Terry was a core member of a team that was tasked with developing and implementing cost saving initiatives for the airline. Terry managed programs that achieved increased fleet utilization by reducing aircraft turns times through streamlining flight dispatch procedures while maintaining regulatory and operational requirements. During the skyrocketing jet fuel crisis that began in 2004, he implemented other cost saving programs that achieved improved fuel savings and flight planning efficiencies. Terry has also served on several industry committees and FAA working groups related to airspace modernization programs and airport expansion projects that focused on increased air traffic capacity.
As Head of Aircraft Services at SITA, Terry is responsible for delivering technologies that offer immediate operational and cost benefits for the airlines with a focus on reduced fuel consumption and improved operational efficiencies. Terry is also tasked with strategic development of products and services that meet the challenging operational and regulatory needs for the industry including: fuel conservation and emissions monitoring, ground surface movement tracking that alerts airlines when extended taxi delays are experience. Terry participates on various industry committees on behalf of SITA. Terry holds a Master of Business Administration degree and is an ATP rated pilot.
