 Mr Jamie Perry,
Head of Distribution and Commercial Systems Jetstar Jamie joined Jetstar in October 2006, shortly before to the launch of the Jetstar wide body international business, initially to set up the payment processes for the international business, and then stepping into the Head of Distribution and Commercial Systems role in May 2007.
As Head of Distribution and Commercial Systems, Jamie is responsible across all four Jetstar carriers for the jetstar.com website and all Jetstars online and mobile channels, as well as Jetstars call centre booking systems, its departure control systems, codeshare and interline relationships, Jetstars payment relationships and infrastructure, and the Jetstar Holidays business.
Since joining Jetstar, Jamie has overseen the replacement of Jetstars reservation and departure control systems with the Navitaire New Skies system, the launch of dynamic currency conversion on jetstar.com, the launch of a new content management system to facilitate the growth of jetstar.com, the launch of dedicated websites and mobile booking engines for 3G mobile phones and iphones, the launch of localised websites for Vietnam, New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, and many other initiatives designed to make Jetstars all day every day low fares easier to find and book for customers throughout the Jetstar network, including most recently a Lowest Fares Finder to help customers locate the lowest fares available.
Jetstar has achieved profitable returns for the Qantas Group since its inception and achieved a record AUD $137 million Profit Before Tax for the 2009 financial year.
Prior to joining Jetstar, Jamie worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company. Jamie originally trained as a lawyer and practiced bankruptcy and restructuring law for Baker & McKenzie in London, Kuwait, and Sydney.
