 Mr Patrick Neo,
Head of Engineering Jetstar Asia Patrick Neo is currently the Head of Engineering of Jetstar Asia. He is part of the pioneer team of Jetstar Asia and in addition to Engineering and Maintenance portfolios is also responsible for the fleet requirements of the airline. He is currently engaged in the overall integration exercise of the Jetstar Asia Engineering and Maintenance team with the overall Jetstar team in Australia and is leading the MRO and Fleet Technical Management workstreams. Jetstar Asia is his second involvement in an airline start up, with the first being with Tradewinds; the precursor of Silkair. In merger and consolidation of maintenance and engineering activities, this is also his second involvement with the first being the acquisition of Valuair into Jetstar Asia.
Prior to coming back to the airline from the airline vendors, Patrick was a Regional Director with Kidde Aerospace. He was responsible for business development, strategy formulation, promotion, negotiations, sale and overall contract management of avionics integrated fire protection system and new fire protection products to Asian aircraft OEM (ACAC, AVIC, Mitsubshi Heavy Industries, Korean Aerospace Industries) and Asian military vehicle manufacturers (ROTEM, ST Kinetics). He was also the kickoff program manager for Kidde in the ARJ21 fire protection system integration program in Shanghai. In addition to this, he was also the Kiddes Far East Representative to all Asian airlines including China and he also managed Kiddes authorized distributor in the Far East.
He started his aviation career in Singapore Airlines as an apprentice aircraft engineer and is a qualified Airframe and Powerplant CAAS AME Licence Holder. Patrick holds a BSc Eng from Arizona State University is married with 3 kids, enjoys rock music, movies, comedies and happy people
