 Mr Reginald (Reg) MacDonald,
Chief Executive Officer Viva Macau Dr. Macdonald is Acting CEO of Viva Macau Airlines. Reg and was previously CFO of Viva Macau up to July 2006 and a Board Member since launch. Viva Macau is an award-winning airline linking Macau to the world, including Australia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Japan, and is planning to launch flights between India and Macau.
Prior to Viva Macau, Reg was based in Beijing, China, where he was a visiting professor at Tsinghua University teaching infrastructure finance and advising Chinese companies on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions. Before that he worked at Morgan Stanley in Tokyo, Japan, on cross-border M&A projects spanning Japan, China, India, Taiwan, U.S., and Europe. In the past Reg taught Europe-Asia Corporate Strategy in Paris, France, and worked with a Hong Kong-based infrastructure fund, starting his career as an engineer on infrastructure development projects around the Asia Pacific.
He holds Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees in Engineering and Engineering Management from the University of British Columbia, Stanford University, and the University of Tokyo. Reg speaks Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and French.
